Q. I usually hatch chicks in the classrom.  With the talk of bird flu, can I still do this?

    A. Linda says: Yes, but read a more detailed answer, by clicking this link.

Q. I missed the recent Transfer Twilight meeting in my area and I want to get hold of the CD ROM/more Passports.  How can I do this?

     A. Tara says: Click here to go to the transfer page to download extra 'new style' Passports.  The CD ROM should be send out to you shortly, or contact Heather Imbush on the above link.

Q. I want to run a science week, although not necessarily in National Science week in March.  Help!

     A. Linda says: Try the link to our Clubs page, which has links to The BA who provide lots of ideas and materials for science activities.  There is also information on how to set up a science week.

Q. Where can I find information on analysing National Test Papers?

     A. Steve says:  Try this link to our 'assessment and data' page.

Q. I need some more Passports.  Where can I get them?

     A. Tara says:  You can download a pdf file from our 'transfer' page, or contact the SNS office for some extra printed copies, although there are only a limited number

Q. I want to analyse my National Test papers to inform both my teaching of next years Y6 and also to let the high school know any issues.  Is there a programe to help me?

    A. Linda says: You can either use the link here to our primary assessment and data page, or use the Pupil Achievement Tracker from the standards website, by clicking here.

Q. I'd like to try more opened questions that can be used as assessment for learning.  Do you know of any?

     A. Yvonne says:  We have developed some of these type of questions and you can download them from our 'assessment and data' page.   There are versions for key stage 3 and 4.  Alternatively try the new Badger 'Level Assessed Tasks'.

Q. I want to use eggs with my pupils, is it safe to do so?

     A. Linda says:  Check out the reply to this query on the Health and Safety page.

    A. Carolyn says: There are several ports of call.  Contact her above for advice, as science inspector, or use the CLEAPSS CD ROM for experimental advice.
